Early Morning Light

Nestled in
And snuggled up
Basking in the peace,
Blanketed within the glow
Of the beautiful silence
Just before dawn…

The early morning light
Begins to rise…
Ever so slowly
Like a single flame
Flickering gently-
Growing and spreading
Into an explosion of light and color
Across the entire eastern skyline-
God’s painting in real time-
In the most profound
And heartwarming way-
Like a giant good morning hug
Sent from the heavens
Wrapped in sunshine
And smothered in love.
